Shift to Speed, Time for 4G with Airtel!

The day began with the announcement from Airtel that I have been waiting for! After the successful trial of services in selected cities and the feedback received from customers who used it,  Bharti Airtel, India's No. 1 service provider, commercially launched its high-speed 4G services in 296 towns across India on 06^th August 2015, Thursday. Bharti Airtel had been carrying out public test runs of the service in select towns with the first 4G network deployed in Kolkata in the year 2012. Being a customer of the world's third largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel (Airtel), I am looking forward to experience the network speed and the services offered by the telecom operator with this launch.

I am keen to try their key features such as videos from the collection of comedy, drama, action, thriller and science from popular Hollywood and Bollywood hits. As per the features go on, users can enjoy by having their own personalized list of favourite movies created by them and download video content to watch offline anytime, anywhere. The app will allow multi-device access for up to five devices with a single login, so that’s indeed a positive point giving out reach. Airtel is having this App available to users as free download and have their customers watch free videos from some of the dedicated channels, that again is a wow factor! 

To suit the needs of one and all, the company has put out subscription plans ranging from Rs. 25 to Rs. 249. For the Airtel customers who are Tech-addicted, or have internet right in their blood can also get special offers on 'Infinity Plan' (unlimited plans) ranging from Rs.999 to Rs. 3,249 for both prepaid and post paid connections. But as the unlimited plans will be offering unlimited voice calls along with data benefits and access to Wynk Movies and Wynk Music apps, I think this will be preferred by the young generation as a complete package!

And with this, Airtel also made an announcement about its tie-ups with Flipkart and Samsung for for the commercial availability of its 4G handsets with its services. I am all excited to start on Airtel 4G, and will soon make switch to a 4G SIM. Apart from Airtel stores, Samsung retail stores will also facilitate 4G SIM swaps, so it’s again ease factor for customers!
